Thank you for finding out more about my music…
I have been working predominantly in the worlds of theatre and audio drama/podcasts creating music and sound design whilst also working as a mixer and sound editor.
My work has featured on BBC Radio 4 (Gemma Arrowsmith's Emergency Broadcast), the Ambassador Theatre in the West End (Jekyll & Hyde), Audible podcasts and audiobooks (Andy Zaltzman’s Greatest of All Time and The Man On The Mountaintop) and many theatres across London and the rest of England.

Testimonials about working with me
“Odinn Orn Hilmarsson is a brilliant composer, a thoughtful and adaptable collaborator and a highly valuable asset to any creative team. His imagination and talent for finding just the right sound for a project are uncanny. If you work closely with him on a score, it will be an enriching and frictionless experience, but he’s also someone you can leave to get on with it, safe in the knowledge that you’ll get just the results you wanted when he sends you the tracks. And the strangest thing is, he keeps getting better! I can’t wait until I next get to commission an Odinn Orn Hilmarsson score for a project. I know it will elevate the material to another plane.”
“Odinn is not only a brilliant sound designer but is a lovely person who is calm and professional at all times. His ideas and the execution of those idea are exceptionally creative and unique. He is a true collaborator and a valuable member of any production team! We would work with him again without hesitation.”
“I have worked with Odinn on two productions I directed, The Actors’ Nightmare at the Park Theatre and Belvedere at the Old Red Lion. Odinn is a true artist. He listens carefully to what I want in sound design and then runs with it, creating something I could not even have imagined. He is a master not only at manipulating sound and music to create something new but is also a very talented composer in his own right. He is always careful to not let his sound design overwhelm the production but only to enhance the action. I can’t wait to work with Odinn again.”
My Mission Statement…
Forgive the pomposity… but I love “discovery”.
I love being at my keyboard, tweaking the settings of my sound and discovering something new.
I love reading a script a discovering an exciting story that I want to set music to.
I love showing my work to people and discovering that it brings them joy.
I know that I don’t just want my music and sounds to exist in isolation and I love discovering new people and groups to work and create with.
